Acne Scarring Regimen |
Now you probably have already been hearing about these, since that's how I came by it also. Tons of people are raving about it, and for very good reason I might add.
Product Description
Note: Before someone strains or blinds their eyes trying to read the label, I have already typed out the label description below the picture in italics.
Front Label Description |
These come in a container of 60 pads. The promotional description of the product as described on the Nip+Fab website is:
"Unveil younger-looking skin with our innovative Glycolic Fix. 60 radiance-boosting pads, soaked in exfoliating glycolic acid (2.8%) retexture + resurface skin whilst witch hazel helps to tone. This moisturising formula with hyaluronic acid + soothing blue daisy helps to reveal brighter + smoother looking skin."
Contains:
glycolic acid retextures + resurfaces
hyaluronic acid: moisturises + refreshes
blue daisy: soothes + calms
glycolic acid retextures + resurfaces
hyaluronic acid: moisturises + refreshes
blue daisy: soothes + calms
To summarize, the product functions mainly as an exfoliator. Other claims are that it retextures and resurfaces the skin (Don't ask me what that means), and it helps to tone and brighten. The elements that I can definitely corroborate are its skin toning (hyper-pigmentation) and smoothing properties. But the main, MAIN reason I use and swear by this product is that it works magically to make my scars fade quicker!! That's the only real "brightening" I can confirm, since I'm not sure how else a product could brighten my skin. It doesn't exactly make my skin two shades lighter or anything.
Cautions
Bottom Label Description |
The brand warns against excessive sun exposure after use, and recommends using SPF when you are strolling about in the sun. I recommend doing the same, since I did break out from not abiding by this warning before, though I'm not certain it was because of exposure to the sun.
Something that I personally noticed from using the product is that it does make my nose excessively oily sometime around mid-day to afternoon the next day. I have always had combination skin (i.e., oily in the T-zone and dry everywhere else). I find that the Murad Oil-Control Mattifier (pictured above) does the trick to counter that problem though. If you have any other mattifying lotion, that should do the trick also.
Product Usage
The recommended usage by the company is one to two per day (once in the morning and once at night). Now, I tried using these twice daily, but that actually backfired by breaking my skin out. I only use it once at night time before bed. I recommend that you maybe try twice daily first, and if that breaks you out, then go down to once per day. I promise you, the product will still work as great.

Where To Buy
I live in Canada and found these at my local Shopper's Drug Mart. They are $16.99 CAD without tax there, and $12.99 CAD when on sale (and Shopper's Drug Mart often has sales so that shouldn't be a problem). On the Nip+Fab website, these are £13.99 (roughly $28.33 CAD). I'm guessing the price difference is due to the fact that the Nip+Fab line was only introduced to the Canadian market recently. I have not seen any Nip+Fab products in Walmart yet, and I never go to Rexall so I'm not sure if they sell it there.By the way, the last time I went to re-purchase my third container of product, I noticed that the Nip+Fab line has been extended quite a lot, which, from my marketing experience, most likely means that the product is doing well so Shopper's decided to stock more items of the brand. They also didn't have that particular product, so I actually had my sister drive me to a different Shopper's so that I can get it. I wasn't kidding when I told you it was my holy grail item.
The Run-Down
As my go-to, can't-live-without product, I would definitely recommend you try this product if you have the occasional, monthly, hormonal pimple or two like I do. It it one of the only products I have found to help drive up the speed at which my scars heal. I use it in conjunction with aloe vera gel, and both have been very effective, though the Nip+Fab was much more successful.
Next Review: Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme
I ended up trying another product from the Nip+Fab line - the Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme, which was a little bit more pricey than the daily pads. I have only tried it once so I can't review it yet, but right after using it just once, I noticed that my pores were SIGNIFICANTLY smaller.
I will also be comparing the two products so look out for that post!
